Is Beyonce Actually Pregnant?
During the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet segment, Beyonce claimed that she and rapper hubby, Jay-Z were expecting. The singer was recently photographed holding her stomach during a performance as well as on the red carpet. The initial photograph once again created chatter on whether or not, she was pregnant. Since the singer is known for being fiercely private about her personal life, one can only wonder if this is a well rehearsed publicity stunt or the actual truth. If she is in fact pregnant, huge congratulations are in order. If she is not expecting…..then way to give her fans false hope. I suppose only time will tell.
Update: Well, time did not take very long to reveal the truth. After the singer's VMA performance, she unbuttoned her jacket and revealed her baby bump! The cameraman then panned to Jay-Z and Kanye West. Both rappers looked extremely excited and happy. Although, I would hope Kanye did not have anything to do with actual creation process (just kidding). No word on the anticipated due date.

SEPTA Suspends Service In Response To Hurricane Irene (Philadelphia, PA)
Moments ago, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter announced for the first time in their history, SEPTA will suspend all service Saturday night in response to Hurricane Irene.
All buses, subways, trolleys and regional rail will halt at approximately midnight, Nutter said. Service will likely resume at some point Sunday after the storm has passed.
SEPTA Spokesman Richard Maloney said that several regional rail lines powered by Amtrak will shut down earlier, at 5 p.m. Saturday. Those are the Airport line, Chestnut Hill West, Wilmington and Paoli.
Maloney said SEPTA carries an average of 200,000 passengers on a typical Sunday.
So, should we be scared? Let us pray…

New Superfresh Open TODAY In Northern Liberties (Philadelphia, PA)
Just over a year ago, extensive plans were announced for a new shopping complex in Northern Liberties, anchored by a major supermarket…that supermarket: Pathmark. Well, Pathmark didn't exactly work out as planned.
On December 12, 2010, Pathmark's parent company, A&P, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, citing assets of $2.5 billion and debts totaling $3.2 billion. That initial plan was chalked, and Pathmark was replaced with the latest in supermarket household names: Superfresh.
Today marks the opening day for the second-floor store at Second Street and Girard Avenue, complete with 120 employees and some locally source products.
