Police Arrest person of interest in "The Kensington Strangler" case


The Kensignton section of Philadelphia has been on edge for months while police searched for clues to find the man who has raped and strangled 3 women. A man released from prison in a seperate case was linked by DNA.
Antonio Rodriguez, 21 was taken into custody after someone phone in a tip to police. He is being held pending another DNA sample.

The residents in the city of Philadelphia waits anxiously for confirmation that they've got their man.

Update January 20, 2011: Antonio Rodriguez has confessed to police that he murdered Elaine Goldberg, Nicole Piacentini and Casey Mahoney between November and mid-December of last year and the sexual assault of three other women. Prosecutors have approved charges to be filed against Rodriguez today. He is expected to be formally charged with three counts each of murder, rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and abuse of a corpse.

Forensic psychologist Louis B. Schlesinger said that sexual, serial killers often choose strangulation as the method of their murder because it's up close and personal.

The 22-year-old suspect is described as soft spoken and at 5-feet-9 and 150 pounds is slightly built.

Favre holds the NFL Records for Career wins, Passing TDs, Passing Yards, and unfortunately INTs. But that sums up his career. He is a winner and definitely a risk taker. Favre is a sure Hall of Fame QB and will certainly go down as one of the best ever.

VIDEO: Jets talk trash and back it up to defeat Patriots

Jets controlled for majority of the game last night to defeat the New England Patriots. Nobody gave them a chance but themselves. Numerous shots from the Jets players and coach Rex Ryan were fired at the Patriots during the week approaching the game. Well on Sunday night, the Jets backed it up to win 28-21.

The week before the New York Jets took down the Colts of Indianapolis. Defeating arguably the Top 2 quarterbacks in the NFL back to back. Next up for the Jets are the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game is on CBS, Sunday January 3rd at 6:30 pm ET.

Morehouse College Remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.


Martin Luther King Jr. attended segregated public schools in Georgia, graduating from high school at the age of 15; he received his B.A. degree in Sociology in 1948 from Morehouse College, a distinguished Negro college institution in Atlanta, from which his father and grandfather both graduated.


In his weekly address and newspaper columns, Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, the Morehouse President, urged Morehouse men to be "sensitive to the wrongs, the sufferings and the injustices of society", and to "accept responsibility for correcting these ills."

Chicago school never closes on MLK day

While many of our children are taking a day off from school, and parents home from work encouraged to involve themselves in some type of community service, one school founder and president, Paul J. Adams III, has kept his doors open since January 17 - Dr. MLK day has became a federal holiday. The founder, who has met Dr. King several times, says "Dr. King was an educator." He finds it ridiculous that schools are closed to commemorate his birthday. "To me, it's disrespectful, especially in the black community, when our children are behind." For 30 years, 100% of his students graduated and went on to colleges.

50 cent uses Twitter to make 8.7 million in one day


50 cent has added $8.7 million to his revenue in just one day! How, you ask? Simply by urging his 3.8 million Twitter followers to invest in H&H Imports, Inc. 50 wrote "you can double your money right now. Just get what you can afford." Fans responded immediatley purchasing $50 million worth of the company's penny stocks. Some experts (or shall we say haters) are trying to speculate that 50 cent used his influence to violate insider trade laws. Fans are appreciative of the New York rapper for the tip to "double their money"....plus let's not forget one of the oldest saying in hip hop: "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense."

First Sean McDermott then Rory Seagrest

Rory Seagrest, Defensive line coach, has also been fired. In an effort to overhaul his Defensive coaching staff, Andy Reid's taking no prisoners. The last two years, under Seagrest's direction, were dissappointing for the Eagles Defensive line so the change is necessary.
