Dick's Sporting Good's - Every Pitch [Commercial]

I saw this commercial for the first time, just last night while watching the Chicago Bulls snap the Miami Heat's 27-game win streak with some help from the officials. I thought the commercial was phenomenal. The vision of the director is clear and creative, and within a minute it seemed to capture the essence of the sport of baseball. Additionally, the placement and timing are perfect as avid baseball fans look forward to another turbulent MLB season.

This one is a gem, kudos to Dick's Sporting Goods and their marketing department for putting this one together.

#RaineMagazinePost: Fellas, It’s 2013. Get Tied Up.

No, this is NOT a late Happy New Year write up. Nor am I about to express to you how busy you should be with your unattainable resolutions, which I am sure you’ve most likely completely forgotten about by now. My purpose here is to give you this single line of advice: Embrace Your Inner Necktie.

Long gone are the days when it was acceptable to neglect the necktie, and when the inclusion of a necktie with your outfit indicated you could possibly end up overdressed for the occasion. Yup! It’s over for that. The tie is cool now. And although I’m sure Joan Rivers may beg to differ, to be completely honest and frank with you, in today’s fashion world, with a high level of self-confidence, you can pretty much get away with anything. See: Lady Gaga and Russell Brand.

The Truth With Elliott Wilson: Lil Wayne's "I Am Not A Human Being II" [Video]

Is this what happens when you've reached your peak in rap? I remember when I thought Jay-Z reached his peak back in 2006 with the release of Kingdom Come. He had already fake-retired, and the project's roll out was disappointing. However, the best rapper alive, bounced right back the following year, with the release of American Gangster, and I was a believe again.

Shifting our focus to the subject at hand, Lil Wayne, in my opinion has delivered consecutive lackluster projects with Tha Carter IV and now I Am Not A Human Being II. He never disappoints 100%, but once you've delivered at such a high rate over such a long period of time, the expectation for your artistry develops. Fans, critics, close associates and media expect more after each win.

I'm afraid to say, this one may have been a loss.

Lil Wayne's new album "I Am Not A Human Being II" is in stores now, but is it worth picking up? Find out here on #TheTruth and tune in Wednesday 3/27 at 4:00 EST for a live Google Hangout with Elliott.

Meek Mill Tony Story Book

G Street Chronicles, one of the hottest urban publishing companies, and Dream Chasers, Meek Mill's independent record label, have teamed up to bring you the novel, Tony Story by Rap Sensation Meek Mill. This highly anticipated novel will be available in paperback and ebook on May 1st.

Check out the books description below:

Tony and Ty had big dreams of getting rich. Although they grew up like brothers, once money and envy entered the equation, greed took over and loyalty went out the door.
After a deadly shooting, the streets of Philly were in an uproar and the lives of many people revolved around revenge. Gold digger Kee capitalized on the built-up tension; but before she could really enjoy the fruits of her labor, she was thrust into the middle of a street war with the cost being her life.

Trust was not an option and revenge was the only thing anyone had in common. Paulie wanted revenge for his cousin; LB wanted revenge for his brother. They both had blood in their eyes and murder in mind; names were called while gunners lurked in the shadows. It became bigger than the almighty dollar and no one was safe.

Philly won't be the same after you're a witness to Tony Story.

Rihanna - "Pour It Up" (feat. Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Juicy J, T.I.) [Stream]

Rihanna went and rounded up an all-star lineup for the remix to her smash, "Pour It Up!" Soliciting the likes of Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Juicy J and T.I., she quadruples those dollar signs she was seeing in the original version.

Each emcee delivers accordingly, with Juicy J providing what I think may be the "stand out" verse on the track. I'll leave the rest for the Internet debacle. Just in case you forgot how to bawl out... press play.

What We Missed: The S@M!!! Briefing

It has been a while, right? We want to sincerely apologize for the neglect... I have been a little busy, but I promise Team SCREAMATME.com has some very special content to share with you over the coming months.

There have been a few events that occurred over the past few days that are note worthy, let's take this space to run them down...

The Beyhive went crazy on Sunday night [03.17.2013] when Beyonce and her team decided to release the latest from the Houston, TX recording diva. "Bow Down / I Been On" is not the typical sound we've all grown to know and love from King Bey. In fact, this particular track features an edgier songstress, and reinforces the fact that she is indeed at the top of her game and occupying the throne the industry reserves for the crème de la crème. In a very rapper-esque style, she sets a braggadocious tone to the recording, sure to have already sparked the "who could she be talking about" controversy and chatter among her massive audience.

The "Bow Down" portion of the song was produced by the game's new smash maker, Hit-Boy, while "I Been On" garnered the contributions of Polow Da Don, Timbaland, Sonny Digital and Planet VI. Throughout the latter, Bey channels her inner Houston by implementing the region's signature Chopped and Screwed effect over her vocals.

Definitely worth a few listens, as this is something completely unexpected from the usually reserved Beyonce. However, it simultaneously makes too much sense as she preps for her Mrs. Carter World Tour scheduled to launch on April 15th at the Kombank Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. For a complete list of Tour Dates and Venues, here.

Lucky Number 7: Rihanna for River Island

On November 19, 2012, 25-year-old, Barbadian megastar, Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty released her seventh studio album, Unapologetic (Island Def Jam Music Group). Surrounding the release, she chartered a Boeing 777 jet, and stopped in seven countries in seven days for her critically acclaimed “777 Tour.” Moreover, exactly seven days ago – to date, with UK-based retailer – River Island, the pop sensation released her signature line, “Rihanna for River Island” …wait for it… in seven different cities including London, New York, Dublin, Amsterdam, Moscow, Warsaw and Dubai. How many sets of “sevens” did you count there?

A collaboration for the history books...as Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment roll out the remix to good kid, m.A.A.d. city's "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" featuring the one and only, JAY-Z. The duo run the Sounwave-produced track into the ground with gut-punching lyrical delivery and superb flow. We've grown to expect nothing less from either one of the emcees.

The song and strategic artwork undoubtedly raise the question: is Kendrick next? And you all know exactly what I mean by "next." Judging by the critical reception and success of Kendrick's debut album, and MTV's claim, there exists a valid argument. But, I encourage music and Hip-Hop culture fans to avoid that debate for now, and simply enjoy the remix.

Kiyomi (Beautiful, Dreamer, Killer) by @ReeNicole_11 [Poem]

Kiyomi
Beautiful, Dreamer, Killer

Who will ever know what that once fragile child would have became
If her innocence wasn't stripped from within
When suddenly her dreams became bleek and her desires for growing up seemed outlandish to her
When the dark circles around her once soft bright eyes, displayed anguish, sorrow and secrets so deep
That not even her mother could understand
She was forced to become nothing but a DREAMER
Completely losing herself in her imagination because reality was to harsh to bear

Will we ever know what she felt
When the #1 suspect crept his way into her life
Slowly but shortly executing her demise
To her he was her KILLER in disguise
No one noticed her distance
No one heard her cries
No one paid attention to the lack of emotion she presented in her stride
The question arises, did she ever cry?
Was she numb from the 1st touch when she felt her innocence die?
Did this BEAUTIFUL babygirl scream out an ask God why?

She was a BEAUTIFUL DREAMER
until a sadistic KILLER closed her eyes
Deflowered her confidence and threw shade on her shine
With one slow stroke of her thigh
Now that this nightmare is finally over will it ever be safe for her to open her eyes?
Or will she forever live in dreamland where her purity n trust resides?
