We've been meaning to keep you up on our longtime friend's, nationally aired talk show, The Buzzklub. More recently she hosted her very first viewing party at the Philadelphia Community Access Media or PhillyCAM building (located at 699 Ranstead Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106). The capacity crowd was fully engulfed, hanging on her every word...from program start to finish. The diversity of the audience was a direct reflection of the diversity of her show as she has managed to intricately develop a captivating platform in a round table segment called "The Beehive," where a variety of controversial topics are discussed. The "no holds bar" tone Bintu sets with her group of panelists, is alluring and forces spectators to do more than spectate; there is an immediate feeling to get involved as a viewer and the desire to offer your own input is almost overbearing.
The event itself was a success, as we ("we" ... as in, viewing party invitees) were granted the opportunity to speak with Bintu about future programming plans, ideas, offer suggestions, constructive criticism (which she takes really well), exchange compliments (she liked my sneakers) and enjoy some addictive cupcakes...
It was also thoroughly enjoyable to watch a friend take one step closer to achieving a dream that she has worked harder and smarter towards.
Get behind The Buzzklub, you won't be disappointed.
