#Lakers Forward is Charged with Assault and Issued a Warrant For Arrest!

The Los Angeles Lakers recently acquired Forward, Jordan Hill, apperantly dragged some baggage to LA with him from Houston.

Hill has been charged with 3rd degree assault, and has been accused of choking a family member during an altercation. The incident occurred in February of this year while Hill played for the Houston Rockets.

With Metta World Peace being suspended, Hill has seen plenty of floor time, and has given the Lakers much needed energy off the bench. Hill put up 10 points and 10 rebounds in the Lakers game 1 victory over the Denver Nuggets. This is a blow to the Lakers rotation, because brought a defensive presence off the bench, especially in pick and roll situations. He also is athletic and a good rebounder. Josh McRoberts will most likely fill his spot off the bench for the remainder of the playoffs.

It has not been set in stone whether he will be available for the remainder of the playoffs. But he may miss time, due to a warrant that has been issued for his arrest.

Here is Jordan Hill's statement; "I'm saddened to learn of the accusations that were filed against me today. At this time, i cannot comment further other than to say that my attorneys are working to gather all of the facts and evidence and I plan to cooperate completely with the authorities.

"I'd like to apologize to the Lakers organization and to all of their fans or the untimeliness of these accusations. I promise to keep my focus and attention on the playoffs during this time and to helping my team win another championship."

Updated information from Hill and Coach Brown stated that he is NOT expected to miss any games, so we'll see what happens.
