@RUVilla Presents #LoveStory

A few nights back, I personally stopped by Villa in North Philadelphia to check out the screening to a documentary a group of my peers were responsible for making happen. The short film is called The Love Story, and it focuses on the new Philadelphia "renaissance" especially highlighting a self-proclaimed group of younger movers and shakers in Philadelphia.

Apparently sponsored/facilitated by The Villa, the film's quality was impressive. And the turnout was solid. It was rumored to be an introductory film to a series of sorts, featuring a diverse group of creative renaissance activists here in the City of Brotherly Love. I have to say, once the credits began to roll, I looked for more. The delivery was tight. Kudos to everyone involved.

Shorty kind of resembles Janet Jackson, right? You have to tilt your head to the left a little bit...

Kendrick Lamar rolled out his latest music video today, for the smash hit, "Poetic Justice" featuring Drake. The video is clearly influenced by [insert any John Singleton film here].

My mom is like a weak Black Panther. She always protest stuff privately but never in public. My mom is so black...

Wake Up With The Breakfast Club: Mike Epps [Video]

Legendary comedian Mike Epps came through the club house Power 105.1 built! With Angela Yee, Dj Envy and Charlamagne he discusses comedic beef, the sexual orientation of Clive Davis and Angela Yee, his upcoming show at Madison Square Garden. I predict...a sell out show.

Did Charlamagne say "that's the baddest part?" SmH. Pass me the microphone...please. Thanks.

The Source Magazine is one of my favorite Hip-Hop publications. I appreciate their hustle and consistency. The masterminds behind the brand, Kim Osorio and L. Londell McMillian hooked up with Dj Envy, Charlamagne and Angela Yee. They touched on reality shows, The Brookyln Nets, and The Source Magazine's role today.
