AXE Confirmed: Jonesy Terminated
After just 2 years at Power 99's morning slot, Loraine Ballard Morrill, a Clear Channel Radio spokeswoman, confirms that Tarsha "Jonesy" Jones is "no longer an employee of Clear Channel Philadelphia."
Her abrupt termination almost IMMEDIATELY followed a lawsuit filed in Common Pleas Court by a Tracey Parson, who says she and her Kiddie Kare day care business were repeatedly defamed by the radio host in early October.
Jonesy the self-proclaimed "Most controversial diva in radio," - the popular morning radio personality for Clear Channel's Power 99 - formerly worked on Radio One's 100.3 The Beat and had been suspended over comments about Whitney Houston's family. At Hot 97 in New York she was suspended over "The Tsunami Song," a parody of the tsunami that devastated Sri Lanka.
Earlier this year, February 2011, Jonesy accepted a call-in from a listener who claimed to be pregnant with NFL star wideout Chad Ochocinco. Shortly after the phone conversation, the station posted a photo of a different woman than the caller. The pictured woman, who was not pregnant, also filed a suit against Jones and Clear Channel.
The controversial figure is known for raking in higher ratings on her respective lineups. Undoubtedly, with this change, the urban populations of Philadelphia/Delaware/New Jersey face a void in morning radio.

Facebook Expecting $10 Billion in IPO
IPO = Initial Public Offering. For those who may not have known the meaning, or skipped that Economics class that day. Facebook has been the largest financial mystery for almost a solid decade now. Change is inevitable...
Mark Zuckerberg's brainchild may finally be preparing for a highly anticipated IPO, long expected to take place sometime after April 2012. If this does indeed go through, groundbreaking would be a massive understatement.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the world's largest online social network is looking into raising as much as $10 billion in its IPO. The Journal cited people familiar with the matter but did not identify them by name. The amount would value Facebook at as much as $100 billion, according to the report. That's more than four times the market capitalization that Google Inc. had at the time of its 2004 IPO.
Seeming like the latest wave in upstart Internet companies, a few smaller social media companies have been entertaining the public stock market this year. Professional networking platform LinkedIn, would be considered the trailblazer, taking their talents to the public in May of this year (2011). Since then, the online deals site Groupon Inc., the Internet radio station Pandora Media Inc. and several others have gone public. Others, including the reviews site Yelp Inc. and the online game company Zynga Inc., are planning to do so in the nearer future.
Though hotly anticipated, the latest crop of Internet IPOs has not gone smoothly. Groupon's stock is now trading below its IPO price. It closed at $15.24 on Monday, down 23.8 percent from its $20 IPO price. Pandora has also fallen below its IPO price, though LinkedIn, among the few that's been profitable, is still well above it.
Either way, I'm putting my cards in this pool...

According to the Associated Press, Australian police have shown off a haul of 216 kilos (476 pounds) of heroin and pseudoephedrine found in boxes of raisins shipped into Sydney. A man has been arrested and appeared in court on charges of importing drugs.

Have the Real Housewives of Atlanta gone too far?
For four seasons, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” television show has been a juggernaut hit for the Bravo TV network. The show’s premise is designed to showcase affluent women’s lifestyles. Weekly episodes usually include the ladies shopping, gossiping and a variety of their exaggerated drama. Although there have been some cast changes since the show’s initial 2008 season, viewers have remained faithful watchers. Unfortunately, it may not stay this way forever. After watching last night’s episode, I felt disgusted and extremely uncomfortable. I can only imagine what other people may think as well.During the last scene of yesterday’s episode, the housewives (keep in mind I’m using this term loosely) gathered together for fellow castmate, Kandi Burruss’ birthday party. Party guest, Phaedra Parks hired a male exotic dancer for the festivities. Parks who joined the show last season continually hinted about how much ‘talent’ the stripper had. The dancer, who goes by the stage name, Ridiculous, jumped out of a red box and began his routine. Once he began removing his clothing, the censors failed to really do their job. It was very plain what was occurring. Cameramen panned from the dancer’s routine to the women’s shocked faces. Then the unthinkable happened. The stripper performed a sexual act on himself. That is the most descriptive I will get regarding that infamous act. Many of the guests who appeared downright appalled left the party soon after.
So here is when the question comes into play. Do you believe the RHOA have gone too far? Should there be a definitive line to want is shown on TV regardless if it is cable or not? Though viewers may be tuning in to see the bickering amongst the women and the breakup to makeup friendships, I do not believe that anyone would want to see any behavior reminiscent of Sunday’s episode. Hopefully, something as shocking as what took place was a one -time deal and will never ever occur again.

[Eminem] overcoming his own adversities, winning the battle against his own demons and continuing to break the mold and re-set the standard of what it means to be the most successful hip-hop artist in the game … I salute that to no end.
I love what he’s doing with Slaughterhouse. I love the move that he made to sign Yelawolf. And the record with him and Royce Da 5′9″. That record is going H.A.M. He killed that BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher. I’ve been peeping the move.

KD's newest colorway of the Zoom IV is entitled, "Weatherman" is inspired by his childhood dream of being a weatherman.
