Michael Vick Disses Oprah???

It has been reported that the Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick has cancelled a scheduled interview with the queen of all media Oprah Winfrey. There have been many rumors about why Vick would bypass an opportunity to show the world he's reformed. However, reports have been circulating that Vick may have been pressured by the Eagles to cancel the interview. Vick released this statement. "After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview. I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future". The NFL's comeback player of the year is correct that he should consider an interview with Oprah as he's not fully exonerated from his wrongful deeds. We all know Michael Vick is a tremendous athlete and quarterback but his accolades on the field have nothing to do with Michael Vick the man. Oprah provides the platform for vindication which if done prematurely could give Vick a false sense of security. Any complacency on Vick's part could cause him to fall back into old habits. It's important to note that Vick's well documented fall from grace was while he was at the height of his fame and fortune. Subsequently his rehabilitation has been during the lowest part of his career. Vick was just "franchised" by the Eagles giving him a guaranteed $20 million next year and the promise of many millions more in the future. Michael Vick need to stay focused on his attitude, demeanor and actions now more than ever. We've seen how Vick has handled adversity but now its time to see how Vick handles fame and fortune a second time.
