The ballots are in.
Eastern Conference All-Star Reserves:
Ray Allen (Boston Celtics)
Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics)
Kevin Garnett (Boston Celtics)
Chris Bosh (Miami Heat)
Joe Johnson (Atlanta Hawks)
Al Horford (Atlanta Hawks)
The Celtics became the 7th team in history to have four players selected to play in the All-Star Game, and just the second (the 2006 Detroit Pistons) to have all four selected as reserves.
Eastern Conference coaches voted Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo as four of the seven All-Star reserves named Thursday.
They will share reserve duties with the likes of Al Horford and Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat, Sunday February 20, 2011.
Western Conference All-Star Reserves:
Blake Griffin (L.A. Clippers)
Russell Westbrook (OKC Thunder)
Tim Duncan (San Antonio Spurs)
Manu Ginobili (San Antonio Spurs)
Pau Gasol (L.A. Lakers)
Deron Williams (Utah Jazz)
Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks)
Griffin and Westbrook will be making their first All-Star game appearances, and at this rate, they'll have many more to get fresh kicks for. Rounding out the West reserves are Duncan and Manu Ginobili from the league-leading Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol, Dallas perennial All-Star forward Dirk Nowitzki, and Utah point guard Deron Williams.
Among the deserves that were not voted in include rebound monster Kevin Love of Minnesota, Portland forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Memphis forwards Zach Randolph and Rudy Gay, and two-time Most Valuable Player Steve Nash of Phoenix.
An opportunity for those player to participate still exists. NBA commissioner David Stern has to choose an injury replacement for starting center Yao Ming of Houston.
