Who is Rodney Green?
Rodney Green, a (Southwest) Philadelphia native, is a former A-10 (LaSalle Explorers) guard with nice arsenal of offensive tools. Showing a steady improvement in many areas during his college career, he developed into a strong defender and ball hawk as well as an efficient scorer. Logging time at the point guard position effectively in college, Green is a natural scorer...and will light you and anybody else up for 50...any.given.night.
With a polished release and the ability to create shots with fakes and dribble penetration, Green has concrete quickness and solid athletic ability to finish at the rim. His experience has given him excellent patience in the half court set, over time he has become an excellent glass cleaner as a guard, maintaining a 5 rebound per game average throughout his college career.
In the Summer of 2010, RG signed a contract with the Israeli Premier League team, Galil Gilboa.
Israel's league is one of the better in Europe, and Galil Gilboa won last season's (2009-2010) championship.
The future is bright for the young star.
