To me, this is a little crazy...and kind of gasses fans up for something that might not even actually go down. But, I understand...moving forward as usual.
Among the premiere nationally televised match ups on ABC, ESPN and TNT:
•Nov. 1:
Dallas Mavericks vs. the Chicago Bulls
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder.
•Nov. 2:
Miami Heat @ New York Knicks
•Dec. 8:
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat
•Dec. 25:
New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics
FINALS REMATCH: Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Chicago Bulls
NOTE: The Christmas Day schedule is scaled back from five games last season.
•Feb. 24-26:
NBA All-Star weekend
•March 7/8:
Orlando Magic vs. New Jersey Nets (London)
The most nationally televised organizations this season include:
Dallas Mavericks & Boston Celtics (30)
New York Knicks & Chicago Bulls (29)
Miami Heat (28)
Los Angeles Lakers & Oklahoma City Thunder (27)
Those totals do not include "Fan Night" selections on the NBA's network...NBATV.
Even with a lockout, teams are promoting and selling regular-season ticket packages, but single-game tickets wouldn't be available until October at the earliest. The last day of the season has been declared April 18.
Sidebar: I put David Stern up there because we are not permitted to use NBA Player images either...LOL.
