A prosecutor says defense lawyers for Michael Jackson's doctor will claim, at his involuntary manslaughter trial, that the singer killed himself.
The statement by LA County Deputy DA, David Walgren, came at a hearing Wednesday, December 29, 2010, where a lawyer for Dr. Conrad Murray clashed with the prosecutor over who should test residue from two syringes found in Jackson's bedroom the night of his death.
Defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan said a huge amount of the anesthetic Propofol was found in Jackson's body but his client has said he gave him only 25 milligrams of the drug.
Walgren suggested the defense will claim Jackson killed himself by injecting more of the drug into himself.
I think this is Heineken's way of creating their own "character." Similar to Dos Equis, who has successfully created and endorsed the "most interesting man in the world..." And now Ciroc's "Smooth Talk " campaign featuring Diddy, who is an already created character.
I do like the way they tied in all of their more recent campaigns though...hit youtube, and check past Heineken commercials. The tie in approach was genius, especially for those who enjoy their Superbowl-esque delivery method.

I'm actually not upset though, because this raises an appropriate question...is Nicki here to stay? OR will she fade away, like another singing/rapping "Nicki?" Google: Nicole Wray
Only time will tell.
King Magazine covered Minaj or at least one of her personalities for their March/April 2011 issue, set to hit newsstands January 2011.
A Fox News analyst stated Tuesday night that Philadelphia Eagles MVP candidate Michael Vick should be executed. We all know that Vick served 18 months in jail for his role in dog fighting incidents. But to Tucker Carlson the punishment was not harsh enough. Carlson stated, "Michael Vick killed dogs, and he did in a heartless and cruel way." These were Carlson words while he was on a debate panel, debating over President Barack Obama's feelings toward the incident. Obama had stated that he felt the Eagles did a good thing by letting Michael Vick get a second chance at football. Obviously Tucker doesn't agree. I believe this is ridiculous, to the point where i will not even waste my time debating. I would rather let the readers and Eagles fans state their opinions. SO WHAT DO YOU THINK???
The Lakers suffered a Christmas Day loss to the Heat. Things began to get heated between superstars Kobe and Lebron. Heres a look at what Kobe said to Lebron....shoutout to WSHH for the footage.
Philadelphia is known for its various musical talents (Will Smith, Beanie Sigel, The Roots) but it is also said "if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere."
Coming from a West Philadelphia neighborhood that lacks opportunity, there is Steve Mahoney also known as Bones who has started his own independent entertainment company (Hustler Records). He began Hustler Records in 2003 as just a label that specialized in hip hop music and it has now expanded into an entertainment group that specializes in Hip Hop, R&B, and some Neo-Soul music, event planning and promotions, web design, and is even involved in neighborhood charity.
Bones says, "everybody raps, but not everybody makes music and not everybody is an entertainer." He currently has 5 mixtapes under his belt, numerous dvd appearances, numerous features, and is working on a solo album. Through this, he has gained a nice-sized buzz in various states on the east coast. He has also opened for the likes of Fabolous, Teyanna Taylor, and Young Leek...with more to come.
Bones has built up his roster of Hustler Records artists in Corperate, Grit, & a hip hop duo called "Stars Wit Straps" (Gutta & Dre Day). Bones states that, "We don't want Hustler Records to be just a label but a movement, a movement with similar success as Dipset."
Bones currently has a single called "Supermodel" that is making noise from a local standpoint and has hit both mainstream radio airwaves and college airwaves and he is currently working on a video for another single called "What I'm About." So be on the lookout for Bones and the rest of Hustler Records in 2011 and beyond.
My best friend is a female, she'll most likely read this post, and either call or text me about it. LoL. So, before that happens...

So...the Wednesday before Christmas, Sony unveiled a digital music subscription service featuring a catalog of 6 million songs from Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, EMI Music and Sony Music Entertainment.
At the moment, the service is only available in the U.K. and Ireland, but Sony reports plans to expand it to the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy and Spain coming 2011. Coined "Music Unlimited," the service costs 3.99 euros a month for the basic version, which streams ad-free radio much like Pandora. A premium version that lets listeners play songs on demand costs 9.99 euros a month.
Subscribers can listen via Sony devices that are connected to the Internet, including the PlayStation 3 game console, select Blu-ray players, Vaio computers and smart phones. While the service can work on cellphones that use Google’s Android operating system, it is currently not compatible with Apple’s iPhones. Y'all mad?
Sony will face some SERIOUS competition, both in Europe and the U.S., Spotify, a music streaming service based in Sweden, had been wildly popular with Europeans, largely because its ad-supported version is free.99.
In the U.S., a number of services currently jockey for a dwindling number of subscribers willing to pay for music streaming. The vast majority of Pandora’s popular Internet radio listeners pay nothing for the service. The number of paying subscribers to on-demand digital music services such as eMusic, Rhapsody and MOG are said to be fewer than 2 million in the U.S., the world’s largest music market.
For Sony, the music service is the Japanese company’s latest attempt to marry its entertainment assets, including Sony Pictures and Sony Music, with its consumer electronics business.
In April 2010, the company launched a streaming video rental service that can be accessed through its Internet-connected Bravia TVs and select Blu-ray players. It has been offering the video service on its PlayStation 3 game consoles for more than a year.
The National Baskbetball Association fined Celtics center Shaquille O'Neal $35,000 Monday (December 27th, 2010) for public comments criticizing the officiating following Boston's 86-78 Christmas Day loss to the Magic in Orlando.
O'Neal fouled out in only 13 minutes of playing time and sounded off after the game!
"I guess they came out to see No. 26 today," O'Neal said, referring to official No. 26, Bob Delaney. "... He was a great player out there today.
"They [fans] paid all that money to watch No. 26 play. If I was a fan, I would be pissed. You pay all that money for good seats, you have two of the best guys in the [NBA] sitting on the bench, out of the game. That is what happens when you have control freaks out there."
Orlando's Dwight Howard picked up five fouls, including a technical, while being held to six points in 33 minutes.
"It's just two good guys going out there hard," O'Neal said of his battle with Howard. "I just wish we had the opportunity to play."
O'Neal scored his only two points seconds before fouling out in the fourth quarter. His 13 minutes were by far the fewest in any of the 63 games in which he's fouled out in his career.
Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep, manager Mike Gardner said.
While no cause of death has been released, the singer's publicist Lynn Jeter said that Marie suffered a grand mal seizure -- a neurological event, marked by loss of consciousness and violent muscle contractions, according to the Mayo Clinic -- a month ago.
Growing up with hoop dreams, Michael Wilson was one of millions of kids who fantasized about making it to the NBA. At an early age, Wilson noticed that hoops dreams can be deflated not due to lack of skill but environmental traps, society and cultural obstacles. Wanting to be a voice to the mayhem, things changed when he was accepted to Lincoln University of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He found himself there, not on the court, but in the studio.
“Myke Kewl ” was born.
Having to move from home to home within the Philadelphia area, Wilson witnessed the diverse attitudes of the streets and used these attitudes to mold into something bigger and better; “Myke Kewl” the Hip-Hop artist.
"I wanted to inform but creatively not so people would automatically present me as a Nas or Common. More moderate and current sound is what took time to find, I knew what I wanted to say but I was working for years how I wanted to say it...Myke Kewl is something that is natural...People always told me I was too cool or this or that and I didn't know if they were being sarcastic or genuine and I honestly didn't care anymore. I came to the conclusion that cool can be whatever you want it to be. It's your choice, It's just an opinion."
This became his new identity. Even though Myke Kewl began recording his rhymes on his uncle's karaoke machine at the tender age of seven, it was at the age of 21 when he finally discovered the message that he wanted to deliver. With inspirations such as Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, The Fray and a bunch of others, there is no horizon that Myke Kewl is not afraid to reach.
"I have too many inspirations and places where my music is influenced by life, school, my neighborhood, people I encounter, girls, dream crushers, doubters everything...Like I seriously want to educate but at the same time understand I am a human, not a saint...I want to have fun, I like to have fun. I laugh. I play...ok I laugh. I play a lot, but also being creative with the approach, originality is a big thing with me. I try to stay away from anecdotes and other formulas because I feel I am as unique as they come"
With his mixtape titled "The Berf of Kewl" soon to be released, we will experience those same horizons as well...only now from Myke Kewl's point of view.
"This mixtape is only the beginning...(he laughs) I just hope the world appreciates it."
Sources are rolling in, reporting the news that R&B sensation, legend, and icon, Teena Marie has past away. WDAS's own, and close friend, Patti Jackson "confirmed" her death earlier today.
This untimely event is so fresh, details have yet to be confirmed. Keep it locked.
After two interceptions on Rookie Cleveland Browns QB, Colt McCoy, and clinching a playoff birth with the Ravens, Reed sat too close to the team personnel heater on the sideline. See it for yourself...
Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner, who just so happens to be 84 years of age, announced his engagement to 24-year-old girlfriend Crystal Harris! Yup, 24, as in born in 1986.
Harris was the December 2009 Playmate of the Month.
Hefner, made the "situation" public on Christmas Day via twitter.
"When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears," the twice-divorced publishing mogul wrote. "This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."
Hugh Hef finalized his divorce from his second wife, former Playboy model Kimberly Conrad, earlier this year.
Way to go Hef. Shit, way to go Crystal! You are now partially entitled to the fruits of the Playboy Empire labor.
Count em. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Because Philadelphia Eagles Wide Out DeSean Jackson took a turn at the 6-yard line instead of running into the end zone, a number of his teammates and some coaches decided to begin the celebration early. Running out onto the field in anticipation of his touchdown, which didn't come until a few seconds later, could have cost them the game. A flag could have been thrown, bringing the touchdown back, and sending the game into an overtime period, which could have in turn caused an additional tally in the Eagles' loss column. Who knows? Review the play yourself HERE.
Last night Young Chris collapsed while performing at S.O.B’s. But you knew that already…unless of course you've completely cut yourself off all social networking sites. He endured a seizure and was rushed to a hospital. He's "good" now though. Check the letter he wrote to his fans.
Sidebar: I like the letter move, and his following might be bigger than it was, when him and Neef's "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" was nominated for a Grammy. Keep it up. #BigUps Rico Love and Division 1.
Dear Fans,

Thank you to all those who were involved in helping and thank you to all the media for giving me priceless respect. I truly appreciate it. Your prayers are heard, Trust me. Love you all.

Carmelo Anthony missed the Nuggets last game, and is not expected to return until after Christmas. Melo has been playing through injuries, not to mention his trade rumors, but this has nothing to do with his recent absence.
Anthony's sister died from a undisclosed condition she has been suffering from. She leaves behind 4 children.
This brings us down to earth; making us realize there are more important things in NBA players lives than basketball.
The male sextet (singing group of six members for you sickOs), recognized on the show as the "nice Baptist church boys," left the judges - former Boyz II Men member Shawn Stockman, singer-songwriter Ben Folds and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger - speechless at times with their performances on NBC's hit reality competition "The Sing-Off."
After performing their final "Hold My Hand" rendition of Michael Jackson featuring Akon, "You all have a very specific message, and you have a deep love in life and I think the world is craving that right now," Sherzinger said between sniffles.
Stockman, who consistently praised the group throughout the competition and waxed nostalgic on his own soulful a Capella days, went a bit further: "You are the embodiment of why 'The Sing-Off' is the best TV vocal show on TV right now."
The group had never truly explored the pop music genre prior to competing on the show, but they showed the judges they were up to snuff from day one with their rendition of Maroon 5's "This Love" that had Stockman sprawled across the judges' table.
"Your voice is just butter!" he expressed to group lead vocalist Terry.

According to AHH, New Orleans-bred rapper, Magnolia Shorty born Renetta Lowe, formerly of Cash Money Records, was shot (26 times) and killed recently in her hometown.
The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the 6300 block of Bridgehampton Drive, police report. Pronounced dead at the scene, officers discovered Lowe, 28, and an unidentified male, inside a car that had been smashed into the gates of a local apartment complex.
Magnolia Shorty signed to Cash Money Records in the early 90′s. She was brought to the attention of label owners Bryan “Baby” and Ronald “Slim” Williams by members of the Hot Boys super group, who had been her childhood playmates and friends growing up in the Magnolia Project residential development.
Shorty released her first CD on the label in 1995. Most recently, she had a pair of local club hits in a row with “Smoking Gun,” a remix of the Jadakiss song, last year, as well as this year’s “My Boy,” a collaboration with R&B singer and newly signed Jive Records artist Kourtney Heart.
Mobile ad network Chitika says add impressions for Windows Phone 7 devices are being beaten out by Android devices and iPhones by more than 100 to 1.
Yes.
The Windows Phone 7 technology has only recently launched (see THIS ARTICLE) and it takes time for a platform like this to build up momentum in the marketplace…but Windows Phone 7 seems to have been struggling to find customers.
And...
Reports from mobile ad network Chitika don’t seem to bode well. According to Chitika, for every one ad impression it sees from a Windows Phone 7 device, it sees 110 impressions from Android-powered devices and 172 impressions from iPhones. That might not be startling for a platform that’s only just hit the streets, but Chitika notes that those numbers have been “relatively stable” over the last three weeks—meaning during the height of the holiday buying season, they aren’t seeing any significant uptick in impressions from Windows Phone 7 devices.
The figures are based on a sample of nearly 32 million ad impressions across Chitika’s mobile ad network from November 23 through December 13, 2010.
Chitika’s numbers—with Windows Phone 7 not even cracking one half of one percent of the iPhone and Android’s combined ad impressions—seems to jive with recent industry assessments. Microsoft Windows Phone Program head Joe Belfiore admitted at the D: Dive Into Mobile event that Windows Phone 7 will take years to catch up to competing platforms, and an analyst with investment firm Goldman Sachs recently forecast Microsoft won’t get to even a 10 percent market share in 2011.
Where Window Phone 7 messed up: Cost. Design and Timing.
I would have lowered the phone's retail price, completely changed the design (maybe adopting a concept idea), and I would have let the Droid and the iPhone have this holiday season...setting my release for the Windows Phone 7 for 2011.
One day during a lunchtime mission, I bumped right into a hyper ass paparazzi dude. Then I looked up and found, he wasn't the only one out there flashing and being overly aggressive...
There was a whole movie crew, big trucks, crazy vendors, Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro.
If you know me, or any guy actually, you know to me, to us, Robert DeNiro is one of the best to do this acting thing and ranks on my all-time favorite actor list. Then there's Bradley Cooper who is making a name for himself on the list as well...although he has a few more roles to kill. This one might do it for him...
Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks is out 4-6 week with a broken foot. This is great timing for me (Laker's Fan) because there next game is against the Los Angeles Lakers. None the less Jennings must undergo surgery to repair the fracture in his left foot.
Jennings apparently broke his foot against the Spurs; but played 30 minutes the following game against Utah. His foot was examined after the game against the Jazz, that's when the fracture was discovered. Well hopefully he will back and in good shape soon; at least after the Lakers game. ha ha
The Kobe Zoom VI is set to release the day after christmas. The Release colorway is Black/Yellow. The Zoom VI is again a low top, also being Nike's Lightest Basketball shoe. The next colorway to be released is a Black/Varsity Red mixture. So what do you think, HOT? or NOT?
So, you work in a sky-scraping building in Center City Philadelphia...and the signal on your brand new Blackberry Torch reads "x" 5 out of the 7/8 hours you spend there a day.
You ask your neighboring co-workers: "Do y'all have any service? I can't do sh!t on my phone..."
Well AT&T is spending nearly $2 billion to buy the rights to certain airwaves (also known as wireless spectrum), of a failed Qualcomm Inc. venture, in a move to improve its mobile service.
Biting off more than they could chew, the carrier has been working to expand its over-burdened network ever since it became the exclusive carrier for Apple Inc.’s iPhone. Even with those exclusive rights, AT&T has suffered from the wrath of consumers, and earlier this month, Consumer Reports dubbed its mobile service the worst.
Early next year, though, look for things to change.
With Verizon Communications Inc. expecting shared rights to Apple's iPhone, a move which could shift some data traffic to Verizon, AT&T may be able to breathe again. It may also unleash a whole batch of new data intensive users on Verizon who have been waiting to buy an iPhone, but wanted a different carrier, like Verizon. It’s feasible that Verizon could get some of AT&T’s traffic problems, even though it has also been building out its network in anticipation of the iPhone.
AT&T said it’s acquiring this spectrum as part of its long-term planning. But the company is likely hoping to boost its service with the new spectrum for a new 4G network, and possibly stave off the looming departures of some of its customers, who may jump ship for Verizon.
The question is, even with the promise of a new network, will it be too late?
7 milli though Kim?! LoL. I don't think Nicki is ready to put (or financially capable of putting) that up for a feature that will go for $.99 on iTunes.
Wednesday night, former Bad Boy Records rapper G-Dep entered New York’s 25th Precinct and told the first officer he saw: "I shot and killed someone 17 years ago.”
Imagine if you were that officer. Like, what are your first thoughts???
According to The New York Post, G-Dep, born Trevell Coleman, admitted to murdering John Henkel in October of 1993 just outside of the James Weldon Johnson Houses in Queens. Until now, the murder had been marked a cold case.
According to sources at the 25th Precinct, G-Dep simply walked in, confessed due his conscience, and was booked without bail, though, in a sense, it was nothing new. He’d been arrested more than 25 times since 2003 for grand larceny, drugs, weapons, and everything else.
