So, I was just having this conversation with a very close friend of mine. Ours was interesting as it pertained mostly to a modern pop icon she adores and to whom I am impartial...and a lyricist *cough, Jumpoff Joe Budden, cough* who we both respected. Emphasis on that past tense. However, our views were the same. If you're already on, a reality show can put you away for good.
I don't think it's a good look to sign up for a reality show you have little to no creative control over...in fact, I'd recommend to any artist I advise to stay far away from them and any women named Mona. They will expose you and skew the public's perception of your character. Music, Hip-Hop especially, used to be all about building a character. And that translated into record sales. Not saying that was the best thing, but I know for damn sure this new wave of over-exposure isn't the next best move.
