Calling all of the Masses, Sony has finally jumped into competition with the IPhone and other smart devices to gain market share in the massive Mobile Video Gaming Industry. Announced along with the new PSP2, the Playstation Phone labeled the Sony XPERIA Play will feature the general items you would expect form a phone but now here is the part that is juicy. The screen is 4 inches and of course you slide out the controller, but for many gamers such as me, the ability to emulate many old school games is going to be a major draw in this area. As you can see from the picture they are playing Super Mario Brothers 3 on the phone. This is a great day for gaming in general. Of course one can many great things such as the Cross Media Bar used on PS3, PSP, and many Sony Devices. Additionally look for PS Network support and Trophy integration as well. Expect updates on this new tech/gaming device as soon as they come down the pipeline. Until Then Good Gaming Everyone

This the new PSP system which was recently in Tokyo. The new system which is code named NGP, features many upgrades from the original system. First the UMD’s are out and SONY will unveil a new cost effective format for your gaming needs. Additionally the new PSP2 touts a 5 inch OLED touch screen, Dual Analog controls, Dual Cameras, and a New touch sensitive panel on the back to add for additional gaming support. This new jewel of gaming comes with 3G, GPS, BlueTooth, and WiFi capabilities.
Of Interesting note, with all those different types of connections supported you would think it was the new Playstation Phone, but no it’s not that was also announced today. Please check back for more news as it develops and Coverage of the Playstation Phone as well.
