#Lakers Forward is Charged with Assault and Issued a Warrant For Arrest!

The Los Angeles Lakers recently acquired Forward, Jordan Hill, apperantly dragged some baggage to LA with him from Houston.

Hill has been charged with 3rd degree assault, and has been accused of choking a family member during an altercation. The incident occurred in February of this year while Hill played for the Houston Rockets.

With Metta World Peace being suspended, Hill has seen plenty of floor time, and has given the Lakers much needed energy off the bench. Hill put up 10 points and 10 rebounds in the Lakers game 1 victory over the Denver Nuggets. This is a blow to the Lakers rotation, because brought a defensive presence off the bench, especially in pick and roll situations. He also is athletic and a good rebounder. Josh McRoberts will most likely fill his spot off the bench for the remainder of the playoffs.

It has not been set in stone whether he will be available for the remainder of the playoffs. But he may miss time, due to a warrant that has been issued for his arrest.

Here is Jordan Hill's statement; "I'm saddened to learn of the accusations that were filed against me today. At this time, i cannot comment further other than to say that my attorneys are working to gather all of the facts and evidence and I plan to cooperate completely with the authorities.

"I'd like to apologize to the Lakers organization and to all of their fans or the untimeliness of these accusations. I promise to keep my focus and attention on the playoffs during this time and to helping my team win another championship."

Updated information from Hill and Coach Brown stated that he is NOT expected to miss any games, so we'll see what happens.

Just my thoughts though, feel free to share yours in the C-Section!

Kobe Decides NOT To Chase A Title?

For those of you who were expecting Kobe Bryant to come out firing on all cylinders to compete for the NBA scoring title in his season finale tonight VS Sacramento, you are in for a huge disappointment.

Kobe Bryant will rest for the final game of the season, which will leave him in the #2 spot for the NBA Scoring Championship.

Coming into tonights game Kobe averaged 27.9 points per game, being Kevin Durants 28.0 Kobe would have needed 38 points tonight in order to become the NBA Scoring Champ. Kobe stated in a recent interview that the scoring title held little importance to him, and that the ultimate goal is to win the NBA Championship. This will e the 3rd scoring title in a row for Durant.

Laker's coach Mike Brown, also decided to sit Andrew Bynum, and Pau Gasol for tonight's game.

The Lakers will open the playoffs this weekend at home against the 6 seed Denver Nuggets.

Flash Amorosos (@FlashAmorosos) - "Smoothen It Out" (Prod. by Theodore Grams (@PhratBabyJesus)) [Video]

Flash Amorosos of the legendary Star Enterprises teamed up with the talented Fun Zach AGAIN to give you this fun filled video entitled "Smoothen It Out" produced by Theodore Grams.

We're almost used to watching Flash in a more laid back fashion, and you'd almost assume that with a track called "Smoothen It Out," such would be the case... Ironically, on this record, he really took it back to the streets. With a visual presentation fully captured in the former neighborhood of the artist, 42nd & Liedy Avenue, Philadelphia, PA and at the notorious Dave & Busters, it looks like these guys had lots of fun shooting this video, it almost makes you feel like your inside a video game.

Let Flash, Zach and crew take you away...hold, on...

The Vent: #CorysCookoutPartDeux

Ok so.......

Let me start with a sincere THANK YOU to Cory Townes. Although, this particular "thank you" has nothing to do with the event you (with help) literally threw together last's been about four, maybe five years in the feeling compelled to deliver has EVERYTHING to do with the overstimulated THURSDAY NIGHT occasion, #CorysCookoutPartDeux

Digression here.

If you couldn't see it. You definitely heard it. The neighbors definitely heard it. So much of "it," in fact, around 8pm, they figured they should contact the Philadelphia Police Department and extend a personal invitation to the "it" they heard so much of. 45th and Chestnut could have been described as something as cliche (or racially degrading, depending on your outlook) as a "zoo" last night, as Dj R to Da IzzA held down the 1s and 2s, and beautiful women appeared in the closest example of modern-day caravans. By 9pm Eastern Standard Time, the scene was grandiose. It exemplified unity, while maintaining - what I would call - thee most diverse environment the United Nations could ask for. At one point, this future politician stood between a model, punk rocker, comedian, lawyer and budding R&B singer (fresh off the Rutgers University Spring Fling stage, might I add). We shared conversation, laughter, aspiration and general appreciation of the company we had created...even for the moment.

Even for the moment, I forgot, briefly, just how much I LOVED my job [Note: sarcasm], and how, as of April 20th :: press time, Philadelphia's homicide victim count stands at 104 (highest count through this date since 2007), or how extremely excited I am to graduate with my Master's degree, until I realize these student loans will shoot so fast up the priority list, their movement will make FEMA's "immediate" response to Katrina seem ... ... ...well, like FEMA's "immediate" response to Katrina.

More digression here.

Bottom line: I forgot. And it felt good to forget, for once. It was rather refreshing to simply embrace the moment Twitter helped to create. Good people. Good times. "Impeccable" punch! Thanks B.

And as I'm sure each individual could share their unique account, the underlying theme will most likely remain. Nice event, no nonsense. Rare? Maybe. Pleasurable. Definitely.

The craziest part: we're going to do it all over again tonight...

How Cray Is This: French Presidential Candidate Uses "N***as In Paris" In Campaign Commercial [Video]

French presidential candidate, François Hollande, used Jay-Z x Kanye West's "N***as In Paris" banger in a campaign commercial that will surely be recognized as one of the most controversial of our time.

The 504 Will Welcome The 2014 NBA All-Star Game

Are you surprised? I'm not. It hadn't even been a week since the New Orleans Saints owner, Tom Benson formally agreed to buy the NBA's New Orleans Hornets franchise - to the tune of $338 Million and signed a lease extension at New Orleans Arena, before everyone's favorite Commissioner, David Stern, brought his ass down to the Big EASY and made his announcement.

So, it's official, New Orleans will host the 2014 All-Star game as - and I quote - "a reward to the good citizens of this city and the sponsors and ticket holders."

What he forgot to mention was just how much this is going to help the NBA's financials. The city of New Orleans is erupt right now! Locals are excited that the Hornets (although, not really sure how long that name will be valid) will get to stay, and their Saints, aren't quite the Golden children of the NFL right now...they will be OK.

The announcement got heated when Stern had barely finished his spotlight moment lines, when Benson requested the fans help him and his team pick out a new name for the club...

"We want to change the name from Hornets to something that means New Orleans and Louisiana," said Benson. "The Hornets don't mean anything" to the area.

Stern smiled while Benson spoke and noted, "He doesn't own the team yet."

"You've got $25,000 of my dough," Benson responded, referring to his down-payment.

Stern quickly corrected him, saying, "$25 million - and if you want to get it credited to the purchase price, you better stop talking now."

More On The Tupac Hologram

MTV caught up with Nick Smith, president of AV Concepts - the organization primarily responsible for the infamous Tupac recreation at the 2012 Coachella Festival. The conversation went a little something like this...

"We worked with Dr. Dre on this and it was Dre's vision to bring this back to life," said Nick Smith, president of AV Concepts, the San Diego company that projected and staged the hologram. "It was his idea from the very beginning and we worked with him and his camp to utilize the technology to make it come to life."

Smith said he wasn't allowed to talk about the creative aspects of the production — including how the hologram was able to seemingly perform the set in synch with Snoop and whether all the vocals were 'Pac's — but he did say that his company has the ability to recreate long-dead figures and visually recreate them in the studio. "You can take their likenesses and voice and ... take people that haven't done concerts before or perform music they haven't sung and digitally recreate it," he said.

The Tupac hologram was several months in the planning and took nearly four months to create in a studio and though Smith was not able to reveal the exact price tag for the illusion, he said a comparable one could cost anywhere from $100,000 to more than $400,000 to pull off. "I can't say how much that event cost, but I can say it's affordable in the sense that if we had to bring entertainers around world and create concerts across the country, we could put [artists] in every venue in the country," he said.
