Snooki's New Book Deal

A Shore Thing. Have any of you heard of it? It wasn't exactly a "must have." Popular Jersey Shore reality television star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is writing a new book. Scheduled for a May 2012 release, the new book is entitled Gorilla Beach, and shadows two female characters, Giovanna "Gia" Spumanti and her cousin Isabella "Bella" Rizzoli, throughout their "sexiest summer ever."

I'm sure there will be lines around corners for this one!!!

Yup it's here.

You've heard the rumors. You've seen videos. You've memorized all the lyrics and adlibs to H*A*M*... You've even somehow linked your favorite Nostalgic new artist to the project.

Apparently, you can put the rumors to bed. According to credible sources, you will be able to find the collab album on the shelves of Best Buys, FYEs, Targets, and the likes on AUGUST 2, 2011.

Netflix: Pick Your Poison?

Netflix dropped a serious bomb on customers today, ultimately revealing a new pricing strategy. Possessing over 120,000 DVD and Blu-ray titles, the all-you-can-watch company looks to squeeze the life out of the wallets of their consumers who choose to rent optical discs instead of stream through a TV or Sony PlayStation 3 device.

Netflix is to-date the best brand in the business. With several competitors in the social streaming market, such as Hulu Plus, Netflix's new subscription rates have been separated into their own tiers. It used to cost $9.99 to get one DVD at a time and unlimited streaming videos.

Today it was announced that those customers will now be forced to pay $7.99 to enjoy either or...streaming or one disc at a time. Having the option to utilize both services will cost you approximately $16 a month. Not too expensive, especially for customers who use the service as a cable alternative, however the verdict is still out as far as how this "sudden" change will affect the catalogue of movies available via the physical (DVD and Blu-Ray discs via snail mail) and non-physical (streaming) methods of delivery.

Netflix should watch their moves and profit strategy closely, as video streaming competing companies, such as Zediva make major moves in the right direction by offering deals like a two-week digi-streaming of new release rentals at $2 per. I look for this to be an interesting development. How do you Netflix users feel about the move???

Paula Patton Does South Beach

Paula Patton and her husband, Robin Thicke were spotted on the beaches of Miami. From the looks of it, Paula has resculpted her toned figure quite nicely since giving birth to the couple's firstborn son last year...

And some wonder why she ALWAYS makes my top hollywood list... *lightbulb*

Having already starred in Jumping the Broom this year and with Mission Impossible 4 set for a December release, Ms. Patton definitely has a lot to be happy about.

What am I happy about? The stalking paparazzi who were around to capture THIS moment.

Lil Wayne's Carter IV Outro...

Tunechi's Sorry 4 The Wait mixtape drops tomorrow (Yes, SCREAMATME.com will have that), BUT before it goes viral like herpes we've got some news about his highly-anticipated, upcoming album The Carter IV...

The last song on the LP will feature Nas, Jadakiss, and Shyne. Other guest features on the album include Bun B, Busta Rhymes, Cee Lo, John Legend, Tech N9ne, will.i.am, and members of his Young Mula family...no, Curren$y no longer counts. Production is being handled by Bangladesh, Boi-1da, Polow Da Don, and Swizz Beatz.

Should be pretty damn dope...

Wale x BIG Sean x B.o.B. - “First Class”

Wale doe...

The track features Big Sean and B.O.B. Sounds like something I'd put in my ipod. What about you?

As Wale and B.o.B. both have Sophomore albums coming, it's hard to tell who this track belongs too...but it doesn't matter, it's GOOD Music. No pun.

Derrick Rose Checked In...No Foursquare.

We all know the Chicago Bulls took a bitter "L" to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semi-Final matchup...

But what we didn't know was losing to them hit Derrick Rose harder than anyone else. During the following week, dude shut himself in his house and drank powerade and ate unlimited pizza...and for about a week, the NBA's poster boy rarely left the crib.

The league's Most Valuable Player told Yahoo! Sports... "Being that close [to the NBA Finals], and not getting it, hurt. I just stayed inside the whole time. I didn't go anywhere else. I wore pajamas, watched a lot of movies, drank Powerade and got delivery food. My body was just sore and wore out. Mentally, too. I'm just getting over it. ... I know my time will [come] soon. That's how I think about it. I guess you have to pay your dues."
