Nike Hyperdunk+ & LunarGlide+ 4 "Special Edition"

The Nike Hyperdunk buzz is growing rapidly. With LeBron sporting them as he jumps across our TV screens in the commercial, and our favorite stars of Team USA wearing them in London, the popularity is increasing. Also, special edition colorways have been made for International teams such as China, Brazil, Spain, and Puerto Rico. These special colorways have been made available to consumers as well.

Nike's innovative NIKE PLUS technology is now available in the 2012 Hyperdunk. The shoes digitally keep track of your movement, and performance on the court via Apple devices such as iPhone, and iPod.

The latest colorway seen here is a special edition, metallic silver colorway. The upper is silver, with a speckled midsole, along with pink, and blue accents. They will release at select Nike Retailers.

Retail: $250 (with Nike+) Not sure if the $140 general release is available in this colorway

Seen here is the LunarGlide+ 4 Running Shoe in the same special edition colorway, featuring the Nike Plus.

No More Hard Copies: Spin Cancels Print Issues

You read that right.

SPIN Magazine, the bimonthly music magazine was more recently acquired by Buzzmedia, the online music network and the good folks at SPIN magazine have announced that the publication will be canceling its November/December issue entirely.

Because there's no way to stream a song from paper, print might be dying in music journalism more rapidly than in any other niche media. Services that allow embedded media streams, like Soundcloud, YouTube, and Bandcamp, have done as much to kill the music magazine as any tablet computer or mobile operating system. The Spin brand still means plenty to any music fan who remembers picking up mags from their local Borders back in the day, but it seems unlikely that a bimonthly print subscription will mean much to music fans who have access to a wealth of quality, constantly-updated music journalism across the web every day.

Of course, no print edition means a diminished need for editors and designers, so Spin has also announced a heap of layoffs to accompany their shift into the digital sphere. Buzzmedia's cutting the publication down and tuning it up, hoping to secure a firmer hold on the online public. The question remains how they'll differentiate their new acquisition from fellow properties like Stereogum that serve the same interest group. How do you take an established publication and reinvent it in a way that preserves its historical brand while still appealing to blog readers? Buzzmedia's got some interesting problems ahead of them.

The director for Rick Ross' "Hold Me Back" video says that BET has banned the clip. BET has reportedly banned the upcoming video for Rick Ross' "Hold Me Back."

According to the video's director TAJ, the network has refused to air the video, though there was no reason given for the ban. TAJ took to Twitter to explain his dissatisfaction with BET's decision, but has since deleted the tweets.

"So BET rejected Ross’ 'Hold Me Back' video. It’s incredibly sad, because the video is incredibly special & real," he wrote. "You’re killing US BET. Smh. Everybody ask BET why it’s ok for them to play 'Boyz N the Hood', 'Menace to Society', and 'South Central', but not Ross’ video. What does BET stand for? You should have two answers for that question."

He later addressed BET's President Stephen Hill with a tweet, asking him to support the honesty in the video.
