2012 NBA All-Star Reserves Announced

Just a few moments ago, The NBA announced the players who will make up the reserve roster for the 2012 All-Star Game to be held in Orlando on Sunday, February 26th.

The 30 head coaches of the Association selected seven players from each conference to round out the rosters, to which 10 players total had already been elected by fans.

If there are any injury absences, commissioner David Stern will select replacements.

NBA Rookie/Sophomore "Rising Star Challenge" Game Roster Announcement

The NBA announced the roster of rookies and sophomores for the All-Star 2012 Rising Stars Challenge. Reigning Rookie of the Year and league highlight reel, Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers was a shoe in! The rookie roster will include, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kyrie Irving, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft, and Minnesota Timberwolves triple-double threat Ricky Rubio, who ranks third overall in assists.

Joining Griffin from the Sophomore class are: DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings), Landry Fields (New York Knicks), Paul George (Indiana Pacers), Gordon Hayward (Utah Jazz), Greg Monroe (Detroit Pistons), Tiago Splitter (San Antonio Spurs), Evan Turner (Philadelphia 76ers), and John Wall (Washington Wizards).

Irving and Rubio are joined by fellow first-year players MarShon Brooks (New Jersey Nets), Brandon Knight (Detroit Pistons), Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs), Markieff Morris (Phoenix Suns), Tristan Thompson (Cleveland Cavaliers), Kemba Walker (Charlotte Bobcats), and Derrick Williams (Minnesota Timberwolves).

The participants in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge were selected by the NBA’s assistant coaches, with each team submitting one ballot. Who do you like to collect the WIN?

Jay-Z To Appear In 1st Rocawear Commercial

Attention, Attention: Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter will NOT be leaving Rocawear. Not gonna happen. As a matter of fact, not only should you look for the Brooklyn-bred mogul to appear in the first-ever television commercial for the brand, entitled "From Marcy to Madison Square," but he's also renewed his contract with the brand for an additional three years.

The commercial is set to occupy 30-second television spots this Spring on MTV, BET and during NBA games on TNT. It will show Jay's rags-to-riches stories and begins with him in the Marcy Projects to his recent stop at Madison Square Garden for the Watch the Throne concert.

US Weekly reports the brand that once grossed approximately $700 million on an annual basis has seen more recent sales drop to $500 million, says Neil Cole, president and CEO of Iconix, the brand group that bought the company in 2007.

But that isn't the case, according to Cole. "Are there times when he's not on tour and not in the studio where we get more time with him? Yes. And are there times when we have to work via e-mail and through other channels? Yes. But we are lucky enough to get a lot of his time and caring," he said

The Air Jordan 2012 release date is finally here! I'm not a big fan of any Jordan outside of the original 23 honestly. But the 2012 YOTD colorway really caught my eye.

The shoe also features Mid and low swappable ankle booties, along with 3 swappable insole inserts. The ankle booties are similar to those featured in the Kobe Zoom VII.
