From The Vault: Teairra Mari

Teairra Mari sits atop my "sexiest in the game" list…I am like half way in love with this girl. Let's take a look back…

So Teairra Mari had what seems to be the perfect spring board for her musical career. Initially endorsed and coined the "Princess of the R.O.C." by rap superstar Jay-Z, Mari released hit single, "Make A Girl Feel" in 2005.

In 2008, Marí signed a deal with Warner Bros and Violator but decided to split with Violator and landed a new development deal with Fo'Reel Entertainment under the wing of Cudda Love, who is partially responsible for Nelly (of the St. Lunatics) success. Under that deal, she worked heavily on LP At That Point with heavy-hitting producers Rico Love, The Runners, and The Underdogs. The project was eventually shelved.

On August 7, 2010 she released her 3rd mixtape entitled Point of No Return, hosted by DJ Drama.

10 days later, shorty released Sincerely Yours, a digital EP released via iTunes, featuring songs made for At That Point.

In addition to music, Mari starred in a movie called Lottery Ticket which was released on August 20, 2010, also starring Bow Wow and Ice Cube.

Teairra Mari seems to be afraid to fade into obscurity, which is probably the sole reason her relevancy in the industry remains. She maintains an admirable work ethic, dropping mixtapes, worldstarhiphop exclusives…like every week, and now acting I guess.

Keep it up Teairra

I'll probably get in trouble for this particular post…but this is America! LoL.
