Bin Laden Dead, We Now Can Write Our History

With the report of Bin Laden's death there are many developments that will take shape in the coming months. The post 9/11 decade will be written as the opening of terrorism as we "the American people" know it. But now the landscape that we've been accustomed to has drastically changed. With the principle players in the Terrorism War now gone, (Bush, Bin Laden, Hussein) replaced by unlikely hero's (Obama, US Military and Democrats) we can now focus on the middle game of this complicated Chess match. It was written that that collapse of communism was in fact the end of history as there would be no alternative ideology to oppose American capitalism. Terrorism proved that religion views not monetary principles would be as equally volatile. The question remains can we end terrorism the same way we ended communism. Obama may go down in history as the president who helped change our civilization but he will not be alone in this journey towards a true end game. If the president can combine the death of Bin Laden with the uprisings to give a counter ideology of social reform, he may be able to stop the spread of religious tyranny by Al Queda. This would be a great victory not only for the US but for world tolerance as well. In American politics, Obama and other Democrats can now utilize this triumph as evidence that they are not the only political party that is tough on terror. Putting the biased mirror on Republicans as the party that couldn't eliminate the worlds biggest terrorist mastemind. All these things combined are game changers, country changers and more importantly history changers. However we must remain cautious and take our victories in stride. We know a major change in Al Queda leadership and infrastructure is apparent and when you change players in the middle of the game anything can happen. But as for this moment, right now, we are in-deed winning.
