#NFL - Payton Manning Undergoes ANOTHER Surgery, Season Ending?

Payton Manning underwent another surgery this morning. He had a one-level cervical neck fusion. It will stabilize the neck area and help the nerve be less sensitive. Payton was having motion problems, and the nerve was making his neck very uncomfortable. He mad the decision after meeting with a half dozen doctors.

Medical experts say it could take up to 3 months for the bone to heal from the fusion. Rehabilitation could not begin until the bone heals. This means Payton may miss most of the season, likely the whole year.

Basically this surgery can save his career. He could have forced it and played through the pain, risking re-injury and possibly a career ending injury. Having this surgery almost guarantees he will play football for years to come. So this was a long term career decision Manning made.

The Colts are not really stacked to compete this year. Of course they have a chance and they are in a weak division. So if they do make the playoffs Manning may be back for a late run. We'll see soon.

I'm glad i didn't draft him for my fantasy football team lol #SorryToHearThat if you did!
