Victim by @Jus_Ree87

As always, no words, let's just get into this...

Victim
by Sherice Holliman

She looks to the skies believing that the sunlight was God's way of saying
She would be alright.
Even though she wasn't religious,
Her relationship with God was steady.
All the while hoping for better days
Because her relationship with her man was unhealthy.
Domestic abuse,
But she advocated for victims of violence
Opened possibilities for young girls to get out
When she herself gave up trying
Preaching all day to battered women
Telling them there is hope
To go home and be ridiculed for the words she spoke.
Unwrap her garments, bathe and soak
Only to be interrupted by the nagging of her man
One who's suppose to provide and protect
Instead he degrades and neglects
She holds on to the pictures of the past
Praying for those days to return
Until she is thrown on her back
Cursed for being wet
Spit on
Hit on
Until she correctly arches her back
Slapped for gagging
Choked for grabbing
And punched because he "came" 2min flat
This cycle repeats
She continues to preach
Until she gains enough courage to realize
She is the victim she needs to reach!!!

We Out: Eddie Murphy Bows Out Of Oscar's Gig

Do you all remember when we said Eddie Murphy would be hosting (historically) the most difficult award show ever? Yeah, well scratch that.

Eddie Murphy has decided to step out of his role as host of the 2012 Academy Awards. His decision immediately follows that of friend, and supposed show executive producer Brett Ratner, who's decision to leave the show came on Wednesday as a result of an uproar over a homosexual slur.

Ratner exited amid criticism of his use of a "pejorative" term for gay men in a Q&A session at a screening of his action comedy Tower Heist. Which debuted last weekend to the tune of $24.03 Million, filling the #2 spot (Puss in Boots, $33 Million) and stars Murphy and Ben Stiller.

Keeping it cordial Murphy stated in a news release via the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, "I completely understand and support each party's decision with regard to a change of producers for this year's Academy Awards ceremony. I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I'm sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job."

Ratner has since apologized for the slur, saying his comments had been "hurtful and stupid."

Welp, so much for me tuning in. But I promise SCREAMATME.com will either have or direct you to a comprehensive list of winners and show highlights.

Why Rachel Crow Will Probably Win #XFactor

Now, I've gone on record and said that MELANIE AMARO is a "shoe in," sure-fire winner for Simon Cowell's highly publicized X Factor competition television series.

I may have been wrong.

And no, it has nothing to do with talent. I still, FIRMLY believe that Miss Melanie Amaro can out-sing the best of the best in her class and beyond. When she sings, I cry of pure happiness and delight...on the inside though (because gangsters like myself, don't REALLY cry).

Here's the "factor:" Rachel Crow CAN really sing, she's thirteen years old, and, most importantly, she has a story like no other. Two words: crack baby. Minus the humor, or sarcastic undertone, Rachel Crow is a product of substance abuse. The New York Post reported late last night that the contestant was adopted at six months old, and has lived with her current parents since. Rachel's mother, Barbara Crow, confirms, "She was born a crack baby and actually lived in a crack house and suffered a lot of abuse."

I find it very interesting that the producers at X-Factor kept this one to themselves. Shows like this are notorious for exploiting stories of this eminence. For example, contestant Chris Rene. His personal drug abuse story is practically carrying him through this competition. And Stacy Francis and her "struggling single mother" account is probably the most fabricated, and early on, overshadowed her screaming ability. Interesting, to say the least.

On top of Rachel's story, her intentions are golden. "I want to build a foundation that makes [foster kids] feel good about themselves...whether they want to sing or act or whether they want be in sports or go to Harvard," Rachel said in her Post interview. "I want to make sure they get to chase their dreams."
Five million dollars is a ton of money, and I'm not sure if I know one 13-year old willing to make contributions like this... Kudos to her parents, you've clearly done a phenomenal job.

America meet Rachel. But, you didn't need my introduction right?
