Matthew Knowles has been pretty busy lately. Busy in terms of suing entertainment companies and trying to clear up his (already controversial) name. The elder Knowles filed papers against Live Nation Entertainment over allegations that he stole money from his famous daughter, Beyonce. During an Associated Press interview, Knowles said that “We have absolutely have not taken any money from Beyonce, and all dollars will be accounted for.”He also believes that the only way the matter should and can be handled should be in the court of law. He stated that he and Beyonce are on good terms but they have not spoken since they parted ways as manager and client. The “1+1” singer is now signed to a joint management deal with Live Nation Entertainment and Roc Nation which her husband, Jay-Z owns. Which makes one wonder how big of a part did Jay-Z play in Beyonce’s new management decision. Maybe there can only be one important man in the singer’s life.

Deron Williams Replaced by Jay-Z
So we all know we're in the midst of an NBA lockout. *moment of silence* Well, during this time teams aren't allowed to contact their players…at all. As a matter of fact, Mark Cuban was granted "special permission" to sit with the players of the Dallas Mavericks during the ESPYs. Yup, no contact. Oh, no licenses either. That means: likenesses to try and sell tickets to their fans for games that probably won't be played. LOL! It's really not funny.
For most NBA teams, this presents an issue. But for a team like the New Jersey Nets, it's actually turned out to be a good…no a GREAT thing. All across Brooklyn, the future home of the Nets, the organization has replaced billboards and signs that used to feature All-Star point guard, Deron Williams, with minority owner and Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z. I'm trying my best to avoid all shots to at D-Will, but…I mean, it's Jay-Z. I'm sure that makes fans and locals WAY…like WAY...more excited about going to see the Nets at the Barclays Center in BK in 2012 than a profile of a player who probably won't even play for the team anymore. Just sayin...

JLo and Hubby Split
Today, Jennifer Lopez and husband, Mark Anthony announced that they are getting a divorce. The once happy couple jointly released a statement explaining their feelings:“We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”
It has been speculated that the demise of the marriage occurred after Lopez’s first husband, Ojani Noa threatened to release a sex tape of the he and the singer/actress on their honeymoon. Earlier this year, Lopez filed a temporary adjunction to stop the distribution of the tape and the ruling was in her favor. Both Anthony and his wife have been asked to comment on the sex tape but both parties have refused to talk.
Perhaps, their marriage could no longer handle the scrutiny of the public eye or maybe deeper issues were to blame. Hopefully, the couple can in fact have an amicable divorce and be able to put their problems aside to be great parents to their children, Max and Emme. It is still so sad to see another celeb couple call it quits.
