Halladay Season

#BigUps to The Philadelphia @Phillies! Starting pitcher, Roy Halladay, threw a no-hitter in his playoff debut to beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-0 on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the opening game of their best-of-5 National League Division Series.

Halladay's BIG game was the 1st no-hitter thrown in a Major League Baseball post-season game since Don Larsen pitched a perfect game for the New York Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1956 World Series.

Are we making yet another run at the World Series?

Welcome Home Randy Moss

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, The Minnesota Vikings have acquired 7-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Randy Moss for a third-round pick in the 2011 NFL draft. This trade will provide Brett Favre and the ailing Vikings, the "in-the-air" game they've been missing. Apparently Moss had his agent call the New England Patriots following Week 1 to ask for a trade, the Boston Herald reports.

Moss, in the final year of a three-year, $27 million contract, is upset that the Patriots refused to open negotiations for a contract extension. He has nine catches for 139 yards and three touchdowns this season in four games. He was held without a catch Monday night at Miami, often times seen not giving a full effort.

NBA 2K11

So, yeah ladies...if all that "cuffing season" talk got you a little excited, I'm warning you to add this game to the list of things you hate that interrupt your favorite time of the year.

NBA 2k11 dropped today, and as I scroll through my Twitter timeline, it seems as if they're flying off of the shelves.

Fellas (AND ladies...word to @gdaniels09), I haven't reserved, but I am an avid NBA 2k fan. Let me know what it's like before I cop up...

Kelly Rowland x Complex.com

I'm probably going to catch a little heat for this post, but I had to do it.

Last night's Patriots scrimmage versus the Dolphins MNF game's halftime show featured Kelly Rowland performing Destiny's Child "Survivor." It served as a dedication to Breast Cancer survivors. The gesture was cool. Kelly Rowland looked great...and then I found these...courtesy of

All Hail The Simpsons

It was Sunday night, December 17, 1989...and this was it. The family had spent the 3 years prior, occupying a "short" (no pun) segment on the Tracy Ullman Show. They had held their own...at least enough to secure a prime time broadcast slot on Fox, soon becoming the first series on that network to land in the Top 30 ratings in a single season.

In a generation where an ADHD diagnosis is almost as common as a Christmas Eve "Christmas Story" marathon on TBS, a seasoned animated series is not the easiest to find. Bad shows last a season, good shows last 3, and great shows last 6 to 8 max.

If you were looking for a lesson on how to stay relevant, look no further...for 21 consecutive years Matt Groening has found a way to keep his animated creation on your tube Sunday in and Sunday out. The fact that this family that we have all grown to know and love, is loosely based on his family experiences probably helps. But I would like to credit his public relation sense. He creates real life avenues and situations for the group to experience together. From marketing campaigns, to episode "appearances," to illustration evolution to correspond with the times...Team Simpson knows how to do it.

Thanks.

The Social Network

If you haven't seen The Social Network, go see it. If not today, tomorrow, or whenever your AS SOON AS POSSIBLE is...

This Aaron Sorkin-penned film is based off the bio/drama, Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook: A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich. I haven't read it yet, but I plan to.

Some of us need convincing, here's the trailer...although you've probably already seen it...and it opened at #1, grossing $23 Million this past weekend, outting the #2 movie by $13 Million. I guess people didn't want to see Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. Go figure.

Oh yeah, great song selection. I wonder if they got the dudes from Entourage to make that decision.

Sesame Street, What Exactly We're You Thinking?

So, is this what America has come to? If so, I'm packing and moving to Japan to raise my children.

Though this topic is a few weeks old, I think it's still relevant and worth the post...Sesame Street the number 1 children's educational television program, recently guess starred, Miss "I Kissed A Girl, And I Liked It" The hell?!

Luckily for human kind and future generations, the episode never officially aired. Apparently, she showed up to the taping dressed inappropriately. And you thought not? She's a California Girl for heaven's sake. One of her fantasies probably includes nailing Elmo & Ernie simultaneously or something freaky like that. I'm sick that the program's directors/writers would even entertain the thought. They must not have children.

I like Katy Perry. I do. I think she would be cool to chill with on occasion...you know, invite to game night, and even sit next to at award shows...but leaving her "alone," with my children is a whole other "cool." A "cool" she has yet to achieve.

When I think Sesame Street, I think...PURE. For example, pop guest stars would include, Reverend Run, Rob Dyrdek, Tom Brady & his bunch, and B.o.B. on a day when he's had little to no interaction with T.I. The Katy Perrys, Nicki Minajs, Trey Songzs, Lady Gagas, and Kardashians (take your pick) of the world, can all stay far away from Sesame Street, and closer to Burbon Street during a taping of Girls Gone Wild: Celeb Edition.

Now, I'm no parent yet, but I plan on being a great one when that time comes. So quick question to help my personal growth and development; Parents, would you have let your extension watch that episode? Was it really that bad???

And then, she went and did this...
